Taste Wheel: For Beginners AND Advanced

by Daniel Rogov » Tue Jul 29, 2008 6:26 am

Sent to me by one of my faithful correspondents. Sogrape has posted a wheel and information about the various flavors found in wine. Well worth perusing and perhaps printing out as a reference. See the wheel at http://eng.sogrape.pt/rodadosaromas/?marca_id=11

This is the well known aroma wheel developed by Ann Noble at UC Davis in 1990.

Ms Noble's Aroma Wheel website is at http://www.winearomawheel.com/

(The Sogrape site does acknowledge the copyright of A C Noble but in a black typeface on a black background so it is easily overlooked)

Yeah, I was given the wheel to use at a "sensory analysis" class I took at the Napa CIA.

Very helpful tool...
