Rogov, just put the Yarden Merlot and Syrah from 2002 on sale. Would appear to be good deals? TN's please?

Yaakov, Hi....

Following are my most recent tasting notes (within 4 months) of the wines in question.

Golan Heights Winery, Merlot, Yarden, 2002: Dark garnet, with once-firm tannins well integrated with now gently spicy wood. Showing plum and berry fruits on herbal, citrus peel and white chocolate notes. Still drinking nicely but not for further cellaring. Drink up. Score 88. K

Golan Heights Winery, Syrah,Yarden, 2002: Medium to full-bodied, showing generous, soft tannins and spicy oak highlighting layers of berries, cherries, plums and spices along with distinctive aromas and flavors of chocolate, vanilla and anise. On the long finish hints of spring flowers and espresso. Drink now. Score 90. K
