Following is my tasting note for the wine in question.
Chateau Doisy-Vedrines, Barsac, 2005: Up there with the very best produced by this chateau. Deep gold in color, full-bodied, showing generous botrytis influence. On the nose and palate a complex of honeyed apples, pineapples and dried apricots, those later joined by notes of cinnamon and cloves. Generously sweet but with fine balancing acidity. Long and satisfying. Best 2012-2030, perhaps longer. Score 94. (Tasted 30 Apr 2008)
