The new 2011 Coalition is a new blend of:

60% Zinfandel (Eaglepoint - Mendocino)
12% Cab Franc (Alder Springs - Mendocino)
12% Merlot (Alder Springs - Mendocino)
Remainder is Souzao and Touriga Nacional from Santa Ynez

From the wine maker's email.... LOL!!!

I'm afraid that all of my wines tasted like shit that day (grin). I'm sorry Harry, it was an inside joke, and I shouldn't have expected you to just accept it. That day, the whole winery smelled like the septic system, as for some reason the wax seal in the toilet lost its integrity, and the aroma was overpowering. We went into the parking lot to taste, and we could still smell it. Raccah and Benyo were less than enthusiastic about tasting under such conditions, and I was not thrilled to be working under those conditions. That was Thursday, and it wasn't fixed until Monday. Such is life in Agua Dulce, land of sweet water.
