TN for Weekend of September 1st, 2018

This weekend I entertained a single wine, the Tzora Judean Hills Red 2012; a blend--chiefly--of Cabernet Sauvigon and Syrah. This is Tzora's entry level red, and to me that manifests itself mostly in the roughness of its taninns in comparison to those of the Shoresh, it's manicured brother, and not so much in the expressiveness of its fruit. Apropos fruit, it's flavors are a medley of ripe black and red fruit. Some might like the restraint of the fruit, though personally I'd prefer fruit that is brighter and more delineated.

Best Regards,
Pinchas
