Chateau Fourcas Hosten question

by Dave Moritz » Sun May 07, 2006 11:45 pm

Does anyone know what happened to this red Cru Bourgeois Superieur from the Listrac-Medoc? Wildman was the importer for years. I've been unable to locate anything produced after the 2000 vintage here in the U.S. Methinks no one is importing it. I e-mailed the chateau a few weeks ago (in French, no less), but received no response.

The first wine from this chateau is of a traditional bent with quite of bit of austerity in youth. For around $15 a copy, it's been a very good QPR given its performance after some cellar time.

Peter M. F. Sichel (New York) should know more, since he is co-owner.
