Peumo Vineyard, Rapel Valley.

Dark purple in the glass.

Loads of chocolate and spices on the nose.

Very thick and rich in the mouth, black cherry, somewhat sweet, mocha-chocolate, some tanginess, with some harshness and charred notes toward the end. With time, it developed a bit more of a sharp-harsh edge.

Long sweet finish, with chocolate and spices.

Certainly not a complex wine, but fits the bill if you are looking for a rich and decadent wine. I just wish it was a little softer and smoother, without the sharp-harsh edge.

Purchased at $18.95 (Canadian).
