WTN: Mike Weir Estate Pinot Gris 2006

VQA Ontario.

Yup, another golfer has joined the wonderful world of winemaking. I understand that the wines are currently being produced at Ontario's Creekside Estate Winery, while work on Mr. Weir's own winery continues.

Golden yellow color.

Very spicy and very tangy, rhubarb, pear and fleshy grapefruit, a hint of gooseberry, fairly rich, refreshing and clean. Unfortunately, the wine fades noticeably with time, losing much of its fruit, leaving only tartness.

A tangy and peppery finish, with grapefruit.

I don't think I would buy this again.

Purchased at $14.95 (Canadian).

Could you tell if the wine was left handed?
