Short notes from Friday lunch at Mickey's Deli.

Cape Point Stone Haven Sauvignon Blanc 2007 - Lots of ripe guava. Mint, Very flavorful, unbuttered popcorn. Crisp. Quite complex. Very good.

Rustenberg Rousanne 2006 - Not much on the nose but intense flavor. Spicy, nutty, very dry. Interesting but not my type.

Boekenhoutskloof Porcupine Ridge Syrah 2006 - Smoky, tobacco, light. Easy drinking wine. Not bad.

Mitolo G.A.M. Shiraz 2005 - Sweet, ripe and smooth. Apparently didn't make much of an impact on me.
