Brisbane Australia?

by Terri D » Tue Oct 30, 2007 2:49 pm

Hello,

Am moving to the Noosa area in January. Words of wisdom and/or words of caution would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Great place that I've visited on holidays in the last few years, Terri.

Don't know the ins and outs of living there, but it's seems very well-heeled with a lot of resident high-rollers as well as a lot of retirees and sees thousands of local and international visitors each year. If you're into adverse humidity for three-quarters of the year, you'll love it. I've made an annual winter trip to Queensland for the last three years and the weather is just right for me at that time of the year (roughly 18-24 degrees celcius maximums - that's about 65-75 degrees fahrenheit with relatively low humidity).

Two things to avoid - rednecks and cane toads!
Cheers,

David

:? Thanks for the info. When you say you make a "winter trip" there, is it the Australian winter that you're talking about?
