Deep ruby red with a rich nose of dark fruit, especially black raspberry. Wonderfully balanced midpalate of dark fruit, smooth but significant tannins and balancing acidity. Medium to long finish of blackberries and slightly bitter and intriguing tannins.
Excellent match with Portugese Kale soup. Really matches well with the Debrezinger smoked sausage (pork based). The soup brings out the earthiness of the wine and sweet fruit. This wine is also a very smoooth sipper. I really love this wine since it is a great food wine and a good sipper (good versatility).
