Inspired by the BBC series "Oz and James Big Wine Adventure" my brother, who knows nothing about wine, decided to see if he could make a decent tasting note for this Jurancon. So this note isn't really all mine. My brother came up with some of the descriptors (most of which I happened to agree with), I put them together to make a coherent whole and added a few of my observations. I must say he did a pretty good job.
Fleeting honeyish nose. Light sweetness with lots of fruit - peach, candied pineapple and apple. Has an apple skins mouthfeel and good acidity to make it refreshing. Label says 13% alcohol but feels more like 11%. Doesn't really have the gravitas of a dessert wine but it did make a very good aperitif. Not an ager. A very good wine for immediate drinking.
