WTN 2001 PEKA Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir

by Shaji M » Tue Jan 15, 2008 12:04 am

It has been more than a year since I opened another one of these Sonoma Coast Pinot Noirs from Taft Street. The floral aromas (roses) that I remember from the tasting past was barely there. Some funkiness was starting to creep in. But, the tannins had mellowed out and there was a beautiful cherry and cola taste (not cherry cola!) that lingered. It had quite a silky finish and it was a pleasure to keep the sips a tad longer in the mouth. I have 2 more bottles of this left.
