WTN: Domaine Weinbach Riesling Cuvee Ste. Catherine 2004

Amazing! Infanticide? Oui! Weinbach is one of my favorite Alsace producers because they (the women Faller) make the most intense "germanic" style Rieslings in Alsace. Tangerine and orange blossom fruit, lemon zest, dry honey, straw and granitic minerality all seamlessly bound together in an impeccably balanced Alsace acid trip. Apallingly vibrant acidity for a late November harvest. An exceptional example of Grand Cru Schlossberg. I can't believe that a mere glass bottle can contain it. AND it's "CORKED" by Vinlok. $60

Prost!
