WTN: Bodegas Lurton Chardonnay Reserva 2005

by Bruce Hayes » Thu Aug 03, 2006 9:41 am

Uco Valley, Mendoza.

Well, "they" have done it again: taken, what was probably pretty good Chardonnay fruit and totally buried it under sweet oak. Yuck.

A big, viscous wine, quite sweet, very toasted, lots of caramel and vanilla, peppery, and, if I try very hard, I think I can find just a suggestion of lemon in there. Grr. :x
