Domaine Paul Autard Côte du Rhone France 2004. 14% alcohol; blend of 70% Grenache, 15% Syrah, and 15% Counoise. $15.00, Chef Central, Paramus, NJ. Imported by V.O.S. Selections, New York, NY.

Deep red color, almost black, deep hue, lovely fruit and spice aroma and taste, medium mouth feel, firm tannins that developed beautifully in the glass, long, complex finish. A remarkable wine for the price. 4*. Great QPR.

Great match with a simple pizza on flat bread: mozz, Rao tomato sauce, sweet sausage and green peppers -- left overs all.
