WTN: Château de Puligny-Montrachet Rosé de Pinot Noir, 2005. Beekman, $16.99.

This wine was very disappointing last night, quite acidic and a single note throughout, with an edge of bitterness. Quite different from my first bottle a few weeks ago. Artificial cork so that's not the problem. Down the drain after a first glass. 2*

For the record, here's my last tasting note; the color was the same, but very little else was the same.

Light red color, light hute, wonderful floral, cherry and rasberry aromas and taste, light mouth feel, pleasant acidity, great finish. Refreshing and although I don't really know what the word means in the wine world, I kept thinking how elegant this wine was. Matched beautifully with cucumber/yogurt/raising/dill soup and rare tuna with steamed French beans. 4*.

Regards, Bob
