Light yellow color in the glass.
Clean, citrus peel nose.
Peppery, with grapefruit, lemon and a touch of lime, spicy, with good acidity.
Light bitter grapefruit rind on the finish.
Guillemot-Michel 2003 Macon-Villages
Medium golden yellow.
Silky, creamy and fat in the mouth, light pear and green apples, some toasted oak. Light and rather delicate, but quite rich.
With time, the wine took on more of an acidic edge, but was still quite enjoyable.

Rich, peppery, very berry, cherry cough syrup, simple. Big and rich, but with an annoying dirty-bitter edge on the finish.
Torbreck Woodcutter's Semillon 2004. Barossa Valley.
A creamy nose, with light citrus and some pepperiness.
Very rich and creamy, lemon, lime and melon, sllightly peppery, with a real citrus tang on the end. The citrus bite became more pronounced as it warmed.
Long, long finish. An excellent wine.
Domaine Des Aires Hautes "Les Combelles" 2003 Minvervois. Syrah (30 per cent), Carignan (30), Grenache (20) and Cinsault (20).
A rich nose of barnyard, leather and smoke.
Tangy, juicy cherry and raspberry fruit, red licorice.
Crisp apple peel finish.
Bodges Norton Chardonnay 2004 Mendoza.
Lots of fleshy and juicy citrus fruit, including peach, tangerine and orange, spicy, with enough acidity to keep everything on an even keel.
A tangy, clean citrus finish.
A delicate structure, supporting rather intense and fleshy fruit.
An amazing value at $10.80 Canadian.

A blend of Touriga Nacional, Aragonez and Castelao.
Dark red in the glass.
Rich berry fruit and smoke on the nose.
Very rich cherry and raspberry fruit, hickory smoke, red licorice, tangy acidity, very spicy, red licorice, cherry cough drops.
A fine wine that I keep coming back to, vintage after vintage.
Good value at $13.95 Canadian.
Morambro Creek Shiraz 2001 Padthaway.
Very dark purple, almost black, in the glass.
Chocolate, tar and black licorice on the nose.
Thick and silky in the mouth, rich berry fruit, spicy, chocolate, with a hint of vegginess (perhaps beets).
Tangy on the finish.
Concha y Toro Trio 2005 Chardonnay-Pinot Grigio-Riesling. Casablanca Valley.
Very dry, lemony nose with some gooseberry.
Lemon, lime, peppery, spicy, very crisp, slightly oily, good acidity with some rather intense gooseberry notes (surprising, given that, according to the label, it does not contain any Sauvignon Blanc).
Gunderloch "Jean-Baptiste" Riesling Kabinett 2001 Rheinhessen.
Fleshy red grapefruit, lemon, honeyed, very clean and crisp.
Graprefruit rind on the finish.
Refreshing and delicious.
Bodgeas Vina Bajoz Cano Tinto 2004 Tinta de Toro (Tempranillo) 75 per cent and old vine Garnacha 25 per cent.
Dark red in color.
Tangy red cherries, raspberries, smoky, red licorice, dry, with some apple-like crispness.
Columbia Crest "Two Vines" Shiraz 2002 Columbia Valley.
A very fragrant nose, with sweet cherry fruit, oak, spices, chocolate and cedar.
Rich black cherry fruit, rather large structure, very tangy, red licorice, spicy and nicely tart.
Was quite surprised by this simple wine, as it was much better and showed much more than had a previous bottle I tried.
Worked quite well with homemade chili.
Milburn Park Chardonnay 2004 South Eastern Australia.
Peach and tangerine, green apple crispness, medium-weight, with some oak. Tart green apples on the finish.
