13.8% alcohol Purchased for less than $30 a bottle at a wine dinner.
Pretty light crimson color. Nose evolves in the glass with roses and cherry/berries. Better nose and better palate than the previous bottle I opened. Maybe it just needed more time in bottle to show its stuff. Now it's starting to bear some resemblance to the 2002 vintage which bowled me over with its amazing bouquet and mellow flavors. I'm now really pleased to have one more bottle of this on hand and would welcome more such bottles. This would be good with roasted Cornish hen or duck breast with a fruit sauce. I'm not certain if it's the right Pinot for grilled salmon or not.
