Fresh and vibrant with lime, kiwi, and melon rind. Typically sharp silvaner acidity and a little green pepper spice -but less minerality than I'd expect from Franken. Kinda Burgenland Gruener Veltliner"ish" (or is Burgenland GV Franken Silvaner"ish"?)-most notably the mouthfeel, but not as aromatic. It's a well made wine -solid, delicious, and very "correct". Juliusspital is usually very "textbook" (although Wuerzburger Stein can be superb), and has to be considered among the top 10 in Franken. There is appallingly little Franken wine available over here and it was nice to find this one. 11,5% Alcohol -Very fair at $16.00
