Very tasty baby barolo...though, technically...since its out of Langhe, I suppose it can't be called Barolo. Still, it is nebbiolo and @ 27.00 / btl its a third the price of a comparable Barolo.

Very nice nose with hints of tar, black fruit and a bit of the classic violets...especially after being open for awhile. Medium to light heavy in body...very leggy @ 13.5%. On the palate, its earthy dark fruit with hints of tar and just a bit of oak. Seems to be tending, a bit, towards a more international style. Medium length finish.

I liked it. Its not as good as high end Barolos...buts its a lot better than lower end Barolos. At this price point I can enjoy nebbiolo more often also.

Sounds like a good 'un, Richard. I'm pretty sure I've heard positive things about Icardi.
