2003 Rock River Merlot California. $5.00 a glass at Endless Vines.
Pretty red color, clear hue, limited aroma and tastes of fruit and spice, quite sweet, some oak, limited tannins, medium mouth feel, short finish. An OK beginner's Merlot but nothing very interesting. 2*.
We searched the labels on this wine -- several different bottles. None of them gave the alcohol level.
Isn't it a legal requirement that it appear on bottles sold in the US?
