Had this at the Dietz's with a bevy of great wines.
1996 Dominique Laurent Nuits St Georges
Wow. The color was perfect. And a wonderful flowery cherry nose. This wine has held up very well. Not loaded with complexity but clean and stable. Everything stayed in balance. Nice for a 10 year old villages wine. Can't remeber what I payed but it was cheap. It seems like the 96 Villages are drinking well.
We had some great wines this night but .... the Carne Asada took the cake.
