Short notes on Sunday afternoon wines at Jojo's shop before the big First Growth dinner the same evening.

Planeta Cerasuolo di Vittoria 2008 - Nero d'Avolaa and Frappato. Young, sweet, rich, tannic. Some tar and rubber. Not a wine for everybody but I like it.

Clos de Sarpe St. Emilion Grand Cru 1998 - Forest floor. Fleshy, spicy, plummy and very tannic. Perhaps needs a bit more time. This has the stuffing to carry on for a few more years. Very good.

Dunn Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2002 - Very dark. Gorgeous, very minty nose. Sweet herbs. Big wine but quite forward and ready. Excellent.

Just hanging out. I was there for a meeting but the place being a wine shop, there's always something to taste.
