Anyone seen "Leading Between the Vines" yet?

I'm a huge Theise fan and just finished his book "Reading Between the Wines". I'm about ready to order on Amazon.com, but wondered if anyone has seen it yet and can offer a review?

No, I loved Reading Between the Wines and didn't know he had a new book out.

Carl - it's a movie.

I have not yet seen it. It's on my Amazon wish list, so I am hoping to get it for my birthday in a few weeks time.

I've seen clips of about 10 producers or so. Terry and crew do a really good job of showing the personalities and philosophies of the winery families. I was hoping for more technical information, but realize that most of that stuff isn't of much interest to the average viewer. I'm looking forward to seeing the final version though.

Cheers,
Bill

Was I the only one who found Theise's book unreadable, self-contradictory word salad? I'm sure it makes sense to him but I've never done drugs... Going on and on about how "true" complexity is unknowability, but the most important aspect of flavors is to be clear? I started over about thirty pages in, but that didn't help.

If I had to guess, Theise has a great palate for a certain type of wine (one that I love, to be clear), and tremendous enthusiasm. The rest is just a post facto rationalization about why he has great taste.

If I haven't offended everybody yet, Joyce's Ulysses is also crap, and Moby Dick is an easily enjoyed straightforward adventure novel.
