I bought a few of these after tasting the fabulous 1997 and what a disappointment they were. This is my last bottle and the sharp acidity has finally mellowed out and the wine has become drinkable and even a bit enjoyable but nothing like the 1997. Medium deep golden in color, there is some muted pear flavors and a tiny touch of spice but nothing here to really recommend it. I probably should have bought some from the following years but was too turned off by the early tastes of the 1998's. What do others think about those 1998's?
