WTN: 2004 Lenoir "Les Roches" Chinon

by Brian K Miller » Tue Jan 22, 2013 12:15 pm

I know Lenoir is not as well known as some of the other big names in Loire Cab Franc, but this is consistently delicious accross the vintages.

A delightful, "warm" smooth, yet gritty (all three descriptions!) mouth feel that I adore! Delicious rich plum fruit, but the typicite comes through with a touch of bell pepper pyrazines on the finish. I think even those who dislike dominant green pepper would enjoy this wine. But, for me, Lenoir is all about that texture! Have never had anything like it!

Imported by Selections Massale...a very worthy importer!
