WTN: Pardon my Cardonne

by Jenise » Sun Feb 10, 2013 12:43 pm

1998 La Cardonne, Medoc: Needed about an hour to open up though that wasn't a far place from where it started. Very dry and savory in style with restrained black fruit, espresso and olive notes. A very Bordeaux-lover's style of modest Bordeaux--smaller scaled and lacking opulence but quite satisfying, especially with food. Fruit starts to fade toward the end of the bottle, though: time to drink up!
My wine shopping and I have never had a problem. Just a perpetual race between the bankruptcy court and Hell.--Rogov
