I keep trying for Pinot Noir and keep getting overruled.

Personally, I have a lot more domestic Pinot Noirs than Burgundy. Then again, there's Chardonnay.

No there isn't.

I'll vote for Burgundy, I don't want David's tears to overflow the Housatonic river.

I'd rather do Pinot Noir than Burgundy alone, primarily because of the price points. "World of Pinot Noir" is fine with me, though ... in fact, I've enjoyed an exceptionally good Tasmanian Pinot, a decent cheap Pinot Nero delle Venezie and an okay generic Pinot Noir Borgogne within recent weeks, so if we can do international Pinot, I'm good to go.

Yeah, but Burgundy includes Chardonnay.

Sounds good to me, though WOPN is trademarked.

I agree with you David. Even though Easter is the last day of March, many will have left over ham which goes great with Pinot.

Leftover ham = pea soup.

I'm opening a CA Pinot Noir for Easter and will be finishing off the bottle in April so could report on that as part of the Pinots of the world focus. I also have a number of Burgundy wines (white and red) although some are rather young to be opening now.

Having just come back from the Willamette Valley with a case of pinot noir, I vote Oregon Pinot Noir!

Nicely put Robin.
Burgundy is for the rich, Oregon is mostly available only to "the locals"...
Nevertheless, our coming (april 11th) private forum meeting here in Israel will be blind tasting of Washington state wines.
