WTN:Chicken and Champagne

I have never tried grilled chicken or any other chicken for that matter, with champagne so I thought about it tonight as I had a 1999 Philippe Prie Brut "Love Flowers" I was eager to try. It was a nice match with the crispy chicken skin and mild meat with the yeasty, mild pear and bakery dough of this very nice Champagne. Medium straw in color with just so-so froth, the flavors seemed still a bit young so I'll rest a lot of my remaining bottles for a few years.
