Carles Andreu Cava Brut

Bought this Cava for $9.99/bottle on WTSO.com. Typically we use Cava as fodder for Kir, but this one was quite nice by itself. The nose had lots of fruit and fresh bread. The palate was super dry and clean with good fruit and a nice minerality on the finish. This was most definitely one of the more complex Cava that I have ever tasted.

PS: If you haven’t used WTSO.com I highly recommend it as a source for diverse, decent quality, inexpensive daily drinkers. They have the occasional higher end wine but quaffers are their bread and butter. Shipping is free if you purchase a minimum quantity (typically four bottles) and the wine usually shows up at my door within three days by UPS ground.
