No, they are different wineries. From S. A. Prum's website: "Who's who" in Prüm - but from which branch of the family, the winery goes out? ancestor and namesake of the winery's Sebastian Alois Prüm (1794-1871). He had seven sons, of whom only Mathias (1835-1890) married. Mathias Prüm had about 17 ha in the middle of the 19th Century, the largest civic estate on the Mosel. He had seven children - the third he named after his father, Sebastian Alois Prüm (1877-1959). And he founded the winery in 1911 SA Prum.

Studert-Prum is owned by Gerhard and Stephan Studert, and like S. A. Prum is located in the Mosel region.

Thanks for the info, Tom. I bought a 2007 S.A. Prüm Wehlener Sonnenuhr Riesling Kabinett, but will keep it here and just bring the 2007 Kerpen Wehlener Sonnenuhr Riesling Kabinett and 2002 Kerpen Wehlener Sonnenuhr Riesling Spätlese. The '07 is in a nice, screw cap bottle. The '02 bottle looks a little rough - cork, no capsule and half-crumpled label - last one they had.
Chico - Hey! This Bottle is empty!
Groucho - That's because it's dry Champagne.

Hi Howie,

As long as drinks well, we don't care what the outside looks like.

I had to make a last minute substitution. I couldn't locate the 2010 J. J. Prum Wehlener Sonnenuhr Spatlese so I am bringing the 2009 Dr. Pauly-Bergweiler Spatlese after all.
