The new vintage just landed in SantaFe so tried:
1. St.Cosme AC: CdR (14.5%; http://www.SaintCosme.com; 100% Syrah) Louis&Cherry Barruol/close to Gigondas 2012: Very dark color; strong blackberry/Syrah/NorthernRhone/black olive slight roasted/tapenade/coffee/espresso bean/smokey very attractive/NR nose; rather tart/lean hard/tannic bit coffee/espresso/roasted/NR rather tight/hard/eviscerated slight blackberry/Syrah flavor; long hard/tannic/lean some roasted/espresso/coffee bit black olive/tapenade/blackberry/Syrah finish; more like an extracted/middling StJoseph; not up to the 2011 in NR character; a very good CdR at a good price but needs several yrs yet. $15.00 (SFW&S)
