WTN: Dark Flowers (2011 Coudert Tardive)

2011 Coudert Fleurie Clos de la Roilette Cuvée Tardive - France, Burgundy, Beaujolais, Fleurie
It's really tough having this one night after the mindblowing 2011 Thivin Cote de Brouilly, but the Coudert still shows as an outstanding wine. It's more reserved, darker and tannic, but still has excellent balance. It only suffers by comparison, and that's largely to be expected, given the styles of the two wines. As is so often true, the Cuvee Tardive needs time to unwind.
