That would explain why I didn't understand your reference to the $160 Syrah.

I don't blame you! All I can say is, they both start with 'C-o' and end with an 'n'. [Sheepish look]

Diane,

I was not actually disappointed. I am just focused elsewhere, so it would take a crazy special experience to send me running for more.

CLUNK. My bad: you guys were saying Corison and I was thinking Colgin. To Colgin, the numbers mentioned apply (as you probably know).

$100.00 is a down payment on Colgin. No big deal your bad.

Indeed, and I wouldn't buy new vintages. But I'm willing to spend up for mature bottles.

As I've got a much lower price-point than most of you, I've been having a good time with the larger producers. Bought Columbia Crest H3, and have enjoyed it as an every-day glass or two. Bogle's Essential Red, a blend of (whatever makes it taste good that particular year) is also pleasant. Wish I could indulge in some of the bottles you are talking about, but... :( . Fortunately, something not-so-great is pretty good, too.
