WTN: 2006 Alesia Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir

2006 Rhys Alesia Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast - USA, California, Sonoma County, Sonoma Coast (3/1/2015)
Surprisingly youthful, but from the glacial cellar that should probably be expected. There is plenty of raspberry fruit and just the beginnings of more developed, forest floor aromas. On the palate it's still quite bright, and even less developed than in the aromatics. Having lost at least some of its youthful fruit there is now a little bit of tannin poking through, just enough that it balances the fruit. I very much enjoyed drinking this, but I can't help wondering what might have been in another five years.
