Bobbie Eugene Henrick
Funeral Time: Thursday, July 9th at 4:00PM
Bobbie HENRICK, 76, husband of Lynda Bright Henrick, passed away July 2, 2015. Born Aug. 7, 1938 in Mamoth Spring, AR, he was the son of the late Floyd and Adelle Harnden Henrick. He served in the U.S. Air Force for 20 years as a Meteorologist and retired in 1994 from the National Weather Service at Bluegrass Airport. In addition to his wife he is survived by his son, Bob Henrick (Marc Miles) of Lexington, KY; his daughter, Cassandra Lynn Bell (Mike) of Lexington, KY; two grandchildren, Madison Nicole Bell and Allison Lauren Bell; his brother, Everett L. Henrick (Vicky) of Cahokia, IL; and his sister, Norma Jean Fontaine (John) of Lavergne, TN. A memorial service and visitation will be 4 – 7 PM Thurs at the residence, 3473 Birkenhead Dr., Lexington, KY 40503. Kerr Brothers Funeral Home – Harrodsburg Rd. is in charge of arrangements.

Thanks, JB. Was there any mention of a preferred memorial charity, that kind of thing? I expect a lot of us would be happy to make a contribution in his memory if we knew.

Robin,
I have written to the family to ask about that very thing. I can speak from experience, I'm pretty sure they do not want a house full of flowers. Frankly, I was hoping there would be some kind of fund for his granddaughters who were the sun, moon, and stars of his life.

If I hear anything, and with their permission, I will post details here.
