Hart Pinot Noir 2012

by JuliaB » Tue Aug 25, 2015 10:19 pm

I always go home from MoCool with more wine than I brought, thanks to Howie! Opened tonight with a steak dinner, my impressions::

Beautiful, lush nose of RC Cola, black cherries, cigar box. On the palate dark fruit, flinty smoke, allspice, loads of very ripe dark fruit and long, long finish. A perfect wine. I was only going to have one with dinner (it's a work night) and I'm on glass three!! Well done, Howie!

Thanks Julia. It's been my experience, and said by others, that good wines are made in the vineyard. That is true with this wine. 2012 was probably the best growing season we've had in memory and my friend, Don DeMaison, pays close attention to his grapes.
Chico - Hey! This Bottle is empty!
Groucho - That's because it's dry Champagne.
