Thank you everyone! We celebrated today with lunch instead of dinner so we didn't have to drive home late. Lunch was at a great French restaurant in Vancouver with things like foie gras terrine and black truffle omelets and braised veal cheeks to go with a 1996 Comte de Vogue Bonnes Mares, my last mature grand cru. If not now, when? went the thinking. It was lovely. Decanted for an hour, probably should have been more.

A belated happy birthday to you (since you celebrate for a month? I may not be that late.) A French restaurant would be my choice too, especially with a Grand Cru Burgundy to open.
