Willamette Valley, Oregon. 13.5% abv. About 70% of the grapes are from three Dundee Hills vineyards--Bella Vida, La Colina, and Olson Estate Vineyards. Chehalem Mountain AVA and Eola-Amity Hills AVA are also represented. Jacques Tardy is the winemaker. About 28% new French oak is in use.
Dark purple color with hints of browning on the rim. The nose holds dark fruits and savory elements. It was pleasant on the palate with a slight tartness and a bit of acid. One person posting on CellarTracker found his bottle "dead" several years ago, but my bottle seemed to be in a mature but very drinkable stage. This was my last bottle and I wouldn't advise holding any longer.
