BR: A Wine Journey Along The RussianRiver/Steve Heimhoff

Just finished reading this book. It's a great read. It describes the geology of the area, the history of the grape growing, lots about various movers&shakers in the RRV, details on AlexVlly Cabernet and WestSide PinotNoir. One of the interesting things I got from it was how SeaRidge was a wnry well ahead of its time. They DID make some interesting wines up in Occidental (now the Eric Ross property).
All in all, a very interesting read w/ a lot of old friends....er, that is...familiar faces in it. Highly recommended.
