WTN: Hirsch Pinot Noir The Bohan-Dillon

by David M. Bueker » Mon Apr 25, 2016 12:39 pm

2014 Hirsch Vineyards Pinot Noir The Bohan-Dillon - USA, California, Sonoma County, Sonoma Coast (4/20/2016)
Delayed note from memory, but since the wine was so memorable it's not a problem...

Bright ruby red color, but not dense at all, so it was possible to see through the wine. The aromatics were captivating, with almost overwhelming floral notes of gardenia and rose that gave way to cherry fruit. Fresh, bright and pure on the palate, the cherry fruit carried through with finishing spice notes. This was just captivating.
