  • 2004 St. Innocent Pinot Noir Anden - USA, Oregon, Willamette Valley (6/3/2016)
Wow this has come along wonderfully. Drinking perfect. Best Anden I recall tasting. Clean and expressive. (95 pts.)

  • 2004 St. Innocent Chardonnay Anden - USA, Oregon, Willamette Valley (5/18/2016)
    Oxidized.

  • 2005 August West Pinot Noir Rosella's Vineyard - USA, California, Central Coast, Santa Lucia Highlands (4/14/2016)
Still very dark purple. Looks young. Some funky aromatics along with saline and earth. The fruit is still very up front. Medium acidity. Finishes on a savory note. Not slipping but I don't have a guess on where it will go. Good showing from a vineyard that is not one of my favorites. (89 pts.)

Interesting! An August West Rosella's from somewhere in the early 2000's made me a fan of both the winemaker and this vineyard. The only other Rosella's I've had was a Loring, which is stylistically so different these days I can't draw any conclusions by comparing the two.

Good note on the Anden, I still have one of those!
My wine shopping and I have never had a problem. Just a perpetual race between the bankruptcy court and Hell.--Rogov

I do like Ed's style but I have a general aversion for vineyards in SLH. With the major exception of Sleepy Hollow which is one of the best vineyards in the state IMO.
