Agree - a good article.
Depends really what we mean by "stand up statistically". While it might not have proved that the California wines were better, I think it demonstrated that contemporary thinking about top French and California wine was largely based on prejudice.

Good point, Steve. Even if the individual rankings don't stand up statistically, the mere fact that all the wines scored in the same ranges blew the prejudice out of the water.
