WTN: Steal your face right off your headpruned

2013 Limerick Lane Syrah Headpruned Block - USA, California, Sonoma County, Russian River Valley (9/1/2016)
Sampled over two nights, this shows all the depth and exuberance I have come to expect from LL wines. Black cherry and boysenberry fruit with vibrant spice tones remindme more than a little bit of Zin at first, but on night two there's more in the way of a meaty undertone taking it back to Syrah. There is excellent balance, especially for what is a very big wine. Typically fine effort from Limerick Lane.
