HarborWnry ClockspringVnys/AmadorCnty Syrah (13.1%; www.HarborWinery.com) WestSacramento 2003: Med.dark color w/ light bricking; slight unclean/bretty rather earthy/dusty slight Rhonish/Cornas bit pincilly/oak some tired/dried-out nose; soft/very sour quite tired/earthy/dusty no fruit rather bretty/barnyardy/unclean flavor w/ light astringent/dried-out tannins; long unclean/bretty/barnyardy tired/dried-out no fruit finish w/ some drying tannins; fruit pretty much gone, pretty unclean, and pretty tired. $8.00 (CB)

1. I was expecting this wine to be a bit long-of-tooth but not this far gone. This was made when CharlieMeyer's health was starting to spiral downward and he was not on top of caring for his wines. DarrelCorti got a bunch of them bttld up and sold them for a song. This was one of that sorry lot.
