Tried this over the weekend:
1. Carlisle Zin DryCreekVlly (16.4%; 225 cs) SantaRosa 2000:
Med.dark color w/ some browning; slight fumey/alcoholic somewhat blackberry/raspberry/DCV Zin fairly spicy slight toasty/oak bit licorice slight pencilly/oldRed bit complex nose; soft slight tangy/metallic rather spicy/blackberry/raspberry/DCV Zin some toasty/oak bit oldRed/pencilly/cedary slight alcoholic fairly complex flavor w/ light smooth/bit drying tannins; very long raspberry/blackberry/DCV Zin/spicy bit drying out/oldRed/tangy/metallic finish w/ light astringent/drying tannins; speaks strongly of DCV Zin and still has life in it but starting to dry out a bit on the palate; drink up.
