WTN: Ramble on Rosé

by David M. Bueker » Wed Jun 14, 2017 8:20 pm

2016 Enfield Wine Co. Rosé of Pinot Noir Antle Vineyard - USA, California (6/14/2017)
Grill some salmon and pop a bottle of this for a perfect summer dinner. Opened while I was doing prep, the wine was linear and focused, with mostly ripe strawberry fruit and some back end expansiveness. Move forward to dinner and orange peel and honeysuckle blossom entered the picture. A little later it was too cold, and became mute, but time in the glass revived it to the fruit and floral state. Fresh and bright, it did not show grip, but glided across the palate. Easy and fun rose that worked like a charm with my meal.
