This had been recorked by the Weingut Clüsserath-Eifel in Trittenheim, where I bought this bottle.

Yellow colour. The nose shows naphtalene, earth, slight petrol and faded flowers. Quite typical nose of older germans made from crossed grapes. Fullbodied and full of life in the mouth. Very fine structure and not a very sweet auslese. Crisper than the nose suggests. Quite simple fruit showing earth and some naphtalene. Medium concentration. Lacking minerality and depth. Citrus towards the finish. Good length. Best in the mouth with it's great structure. Fine food-wine.
