WTN: Baudry Rate

by David M. Bueker » Mon Sep 18, 2017 7:48 pm

2010 Domaine Bernard Baudry Chinon Le Domaine - France, Loire Valley, Touraine, Chinon (9/18/2017)
This is in the zone now. Red cherry, unlit tobacco, warm herbs and leather make for a very attractive aromatic package. The tobacco element dominates on the palate, with the fruit hanging in at the end. The structure is mostly acid-based, with just a hint of mid-palate tannin. It's definitely Loire Cabernet Franc, based on the aromatic and palate profiles.

Still have a few Baudry here in the cellar, I think `05. Should think about drinking up maybe?

2005 is a very structured vintage. Which bottling(s) do you have?
